Sources of the Western Tradition – Oh, yeah!

The book “Sources Of The Western Tradition” that’s used as a textbook in Canadian universities contains some very tendentious articles regarding the conflicts in ex-Yugoslavia. On the other hand the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not mentioned at all. Does that mean that for the authors of the book in question (Perry, Peden and Von Laue), who are describing the western tradition from the time of renaissance to nowdays, the American savageness is irrelevant?
